Y cuando se les recitan Nuestros signos dicen: Ya hemos oído y (8:31)

﴿وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا قَالُوا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَٰذَا ۙ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ﴾
[ الأنفال: 31]

Y cuando se les recitan Nuestros signos dicen: Ya hemos oído y si quisiéramos podríamos decir algo semejante a esto; sólo son historias de los primitivos.

Cuando se les recitan Mis versículos, dicen [los que se niegan a creer]: "Oímos, pero si quisiéramos podríamos decir palabras similares. Son fábulas de nuestros ancestros".

31. Y si se les recitan Nuestras aleyas, (los incrédulos de La Meca) dicen: «Las hemos escuchado. Si quisiéramos recitaríamos unas semejantes. No son más que viejas leyendas».

English - Sahih International

And when Our verses are recited to them, they say, "We have heard. If we willed, we could say [something] like this. This is not but legends of the former peoples."
