Se ao menos, quando Nosso castigo os açoitou, se humilhassem... Não obstante, (6:43)

﴿فَلَوْلَا إِذْ جَاءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا وَلَٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ﴾
[ الأنعام: 43]

Se ao menos, quando Nosso castigo os açoitou, se humilhassem... Não obstante, seus corações se endureceram e Satanáslhes abrilhantou o que faziam.

Portuguese Translation - Helmy Nasr

Então que, ao chegar-lhes Nosso suplício, se houvessem humildado! Mas seus corações se endureceram, e Satã aformoseou, para eles, o que faziam.

43. Pero cuando les llegó Nuestro castigo, no se volvieron a Nos con humildad, sino que sus corazones se endurecieron y el Demonio les hizo ver lo que hacían como bueno.

English - Sahih International

Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.
