Cuántas ciudades destruimos por no haber reconocido el favor en el que (28:58)

﴿وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا ۖ فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ﴾
[ القصص: 58]

Cuántas ciudades destruimos por no haber reconocido el favor en el que vivían! Ahí están sus moradas, sólo unas pocas volvieron a ser habitadas después de ellos y fuimos Nosotros los herederos.

¡Cuántos pueblos destruí porque no agradecían el favor en que vivían! Observen sus viviendas: no volvieron a ser habitadas después de ellos, salvo brevemente. Yo fui Quien las heredó.

58. Y cuántas poblaciones destruimos por haber sido ingratas a pesar de vivir en abundancia! Sus viviendas no fueron habitadas después de ellos, salvo unas pocas, y Nos fuimos Quienes las heredamos.

And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors.
