الآية 8 من سورة surah Al-Ahzab

﴿لِّيَسْأَلَ الصَّادِقِينَ عَن صِدْقِهِمْ ۚ وَأَعَدَّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا﴾
[ الأحزاب: 8]

That He may question the truthful about their truth. And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful punishment.

Surah Al-Ahzab Full

عبد الله يوسف علي

That (Allah) may question the (custodians) of Truth concerning the Truth they (were charged with): And He has prepared for the Unbelievers a grievous Penalty.

تقي الدين الهلالي

That He may ask the truthfuls (Allah's Messengers and His Prophets) about their truth (i.e. the conveyance of Allah's Message that which they were charged with). And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment (Hell-fire).

صفي الرحمن المباركفوري

That He may ask the truthful about their truth. And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment.

*16) That is, "Allah has not just taken the covenant but will also question as to how far it has been kept. Then only those who will have kept Allah's Covenant faithfully, will be declared to be the truthful. "
