﴿۞ يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ ۛ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا ۛ سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِن بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِ ۖ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُوا ۚ وَمَن يُرِدِ اللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ﴾
[ المائدة: 41]

Mensajero! Que no te entristezcan aquéllos que se precipitan a la incredulidad, de entre los que dicen con la boca "creemos" pero no creen sus corazones; y los que siguen el judaísmo.Prestan oídos a la mentira y escuchan a otros que no vienen a ti. Tergiversan las palabras diciendo: Si se juzga de esta manera tomadlo, pero si no, rechazadlo. Y aquel cuya perdición es voluntad de Allah, tu no tienes nada que hacer por él ante Allah.Esos son aquéllos cuyos corazones Allah no quiere que se purifiquen. En esta vida tendrán humillación y en la Última un castigo inmenso.

¡Oh, Mensajero! No te entristezcas por quienes se precipitan a negar la verdad, como quienes dicen: "Creemos", pero sus corazones no creen. Entre los judíos hay quienes prestan oídos a cualquier falsedad que se diga, escuchan ávidamente sin venir a pedirte aclaración. Tergiversan el sentido de las palabras [reveladas] sacándolas de su contexto, y dicen: "Si se les dice así [acorde a su tergiversación] acéptenlo; caso contrario, rechácenlo". A quien Dios pone a prueba con una tentación, no podrás hacer nada para salvarlo. Dios no ha querido purificar sus corazones. Ellos serán denigrados en esta vida, y en la otra tendrán un castigo terrible.

41. Oh, Mensajero!, no te aflijas por quienes se apresuran a rechazar la verdad de entre quienes dicen creer, pero cuyos corazones no creen. Y entre los judíos hay quienes se complacen en escuchar la mentira y escuchan a gentes que no han estado presentes en tus reuniones; alteran el significado de las palabras (de sus Escrituras) y dicen: «Si lo que (Muhammad) dictamina está de acuerdo (con lo que habéis tergiversado de vuestras Escrituras), aceptadlo; pero si no, tened cuidado (y no lo aceptéis)». Y a quienes Al-lah quiera extraviar (por rechazar la verdad), no podrás ayudarlos (oh, Muhammad!). Esos son aquellos cuyos corazones Al-lah no quiere purificar (por su obstinada incredulidad). Sufrirán la humillación en esta vida y en la otra tendrán un castigo terrible.

English - Sahih International

O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] usages, saying "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allah intends fitnah - never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah. Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.
