वह अपने लोगों में मग्न था,

یہ اپنے اہل (و عیال) میں مست رہتا تھا

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(84:13) He used to live joyfully among his people, *9

Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness; meaning

*9) That is, his way of life was different from that of God's righteous men, about whom in Surah At-Tur: 26, it has been said that they lived among their kinsfolk in fear and dread of God, i.e. they fear lest they should ruin their own Hereafter on account of their absorption in the love of children and endeavours for the sake of their well-being and prosperity in the world. On the contrary, this tnan lived a life free from every care and worry and helped his children and kinsfolk also to enjoy life fully, no matter what wicked and inunoral methods he had to use to procure the means of enjoyment, how he had to usurp the rights of others and transgress the bounds set by AIIah for the sake of the worldly pleasures.

  2. और (यहूद) कहते हैं कि यहूद (के सिवा) और (नसारा कहते हैं कि) नसारा के
  3. (ये) अरब के गॅवार देहाती कुफ्र व निफाक़ में बड़े सख्त हैं और इसी क़ाबिल
  4. (और ख़ूब जंग होती) जो जो बाते ये लोग (ख़ुदा की निस्बत) बयान करते हैं
  5. (झुठलाने वालों) चन्द दिन चैन से खा पी लो तुम बेशक गुनेहगार हो
  6. और लोगों में से कुछ ऐसे भी हैं जो एक किनारे पर (खड़े होकर) खुदा
  7. उनकी ऑंखें (निदामत से) झुकी हुई होंगी
  8. ग़रज़ वह अपने गुनाह का इक़रार कर लेंगे तो दोज़ख़ियों को ख़ुदा की रहमत से
  9. और ये कि हमारा तो ख्याल था कि आदमी और जिन ख़ुदा की निस्बत झूठी
  10. और उस दिन से डरो जिस दिन तुम सब के सब ख़ुदा की तरफ़ लौटाये
