﴿قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ ۖ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ الْعَالِينَ﴾

Dijo: Iblis! Qué es lo que te impide postrarte ante quien he creado con Mis manos? Te consideras demasiado grande para ello o es que estás entre los altivos?

Dijo Dios: "¡Iblís! ¿Qué te impide hacer una reverencia ante lo que creé con Mis dos manos? ¿Te niegas a hacerlo por soberbia o porque te crees un ser superior?"

75. (Al-lah) le dijo: «Iblis!, ¿qué te ha impedido postrarte ante (Adán), a quien he creado con Mis manos? ¿Te has comportado con arrogancia o eres de quienes claman ser superiores?».

[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"
