Y si os hubieran combatido los que se niegan a creer, habrían (48:22)

﴿وَلَوْ قَاتَلَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوَلَّوُا الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا﴾
[ الفتح: 22]

Y si os hubieran combatido los que se niegan a creer, habrían dado la espalda y después no habrían encontrado quien les auxiliara ni les defendiera.

Sepan que aun cuando los que se negaron a creer los hubieran combatido [en Hudaibiiah], habrían huido vencidos, pues no hubieran encontrado quién los protegiera ni los defendiera.

22. Y si quienes rechazan la verdad se hubiesen enfrentado contra vosotros (en Hudaibiyah) se habrían retirado derrotados y no habrían encontrado quién los protegiera ni socorriera.

And if those [Makkans] who disbelieve had fought you, they would have turned their backs [in flight]. Then they would not find a protector or a helper.
