﴿وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ﴾
[ الرعد: 32]

Mensageiros anteriores a ti foram escarnecidos; porém, tolerei os incrédulos e depois os castiguei. E que aziago foi oMeu castigo!

Portuguese Translation - Helmy Nasr

E, com efeito, zombaram de outros Mensageiros, antes de ti; então, concedi prazo aos que renegaram a Fé; em seguida, apanhei-os. Como foi, pois, Minha punição?

32. Y (también) fueron objeto de burlas otros mensajeros que te precedieron (oh, Muhammad!). No obstante, los dejé disfrutar por un tiempo y luego Mi castigo se abatió sobre ellos. Y qué terrible fue Mi castigo!

English - Sahih International

And already were [other] messengers ridiculed before you, and I extended the time of those who disbelieved; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty.
