Cuando se les dice: Temed a Allah!, la soberbia se apodera de (2:206)

﴿وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ أَخَذَتْهُ الْعِزَّةُ بِالْإِثْمِ ۚ فَحَسْبُهُ جَهَنَّمُ ۚ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ﴾
[ البقرة: 206]

Cuando se les dice: Temed a Allah!, la soberbia se apodera de ellos y les mueve a hacer el mal. Yahannam bastará para ellos. Qué mal lecho!

Y cuando se le dice [a uno de ellos]: "Tengan temor de Dios", su soberbia lo impulsa a hacer el mal. Su retribución será el Infierno. ¡Qué pésimo destino!

206. Y si se le dice: «Teme a Al-lah», se deja llevar por la arrogancia para pecar más. El infierno le bastará; y qué pésimo lugar para permanecer en él!

And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah," pride in the sin takes hold of him. Sufficient for him is Hellfire, and how wretched is the resting place.
