Tafsir (Explanation):
In this noble verse, Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) swears an oath by the Qur'an, the Wise, to affirm a profound and unshakable truth. The Qur'an is described as "Hakeem" because it is perfect in its composition, profound in its wisdom, and decisive in its judgments. Its verses are firmly established, containing sound laws, clear proofs, and timeless guidance. No falsehood can approach it from any direction—it is preserved by Allah as a living miracle for all of humanity.
By this mighty oath, Allah confirms that His Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him), is truly one of the messengers sent with divine revelation. He was not an imposter or a fabricator, as the disbelievers claimed. Rather, he was sent upon a straight and balanced path—the path of Islam—which leads to righteousness, justice, and eternal success. This path is neither crooked nor extreme; it is the way of moderation, mercy, and wisdom.
This verse serves as a powerful reminder for every believer: the Qur'an is not an ordinary book. It is the speech of Allah, filled with wisdom and mercy, guiding humanity out of darkness into light. When we reflect on its verses, we find solutions to every problem and answers to every question. It is a source of healing for the hearts, a light for the minds, and a companion for those who seek truth.
Dear reader, let this verse inspire you to deepen your connection with the Qur'an. Read it with reflection, understand it with sincerity, and apply it with love. For in its wisdom lies the key to happiness in this life and the Hereafter. And know that the One who swore by this great Book is the Most Truthful—so His promise of guidance and success for those who follow it is certain.
