﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ وَخَلَقَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنۡهُمَا رِجَالٗا كَثِيرٗا وَنِسَآءٗۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي تَسَآءَلُونَ بِهِۦ وَٱلۡأَرۡحَامَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ رَقِيبٗا ﴾ [An-Nisā’: 1]
(1) O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
Surah: An-Nisā’ - Verse: 1  - Juz: 4 - Page: 77
﴿وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ فَمُسۡتَقَرّٞ وَمُسۡتَوۡدَعٞۗ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يَفۡقَهُونَ ﴾ [Al-An‘ām: 98]
(98) And it is He who produced you from one soul and [gave you] a place of dwelling and of storage. We have detailed the signs for a people who understand.
Surah: Al-An‘ām - Verse: 98  - Juz: 7 - Page: 140
﴿۞ هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ وَجَعَلَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا لِيَسۡكُنَ إِلَيۡهَاۖ فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّىٰهَا حَمَلَتۡ حَمۡلًا خَفِيفٗا فَمَرَّتۡ بِهِۦۖ فَلَمَّآ أَثۡقَلَت دَّعَوَا ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنۡ ءَاتَيۡتَنَا صَٰلِحٗا لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ﴾ [Al-A‘rāf: 189]
(189) It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, "If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful."
Surah: Al-A‘rāf - Verse: 189  - Juz: 9 - Page: 175
﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِي رَيۡبٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡبَعۡثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٖ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضۡغَةٖ مُّخَلَّقَةٖ وَغَيۡرِ مُخَلَّقَةٖ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمۡۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗى ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلٗا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَشُدَّكُمۡۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِكَيۡلَا يَعۡلَمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ وَتَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ هَامِدَةٗ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ وَأَنۢبَتَتۡ مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجٖ ﴾ [Al-Ḥajj: 5]
(5) O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.
Surah: Al-Ḥajj - Verse: 5  - Juz: 17 - Page: 332
﴿ وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن سُلَٰلَةٖ مِّن طِينٖ  * ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَٰهُ نُطۡفَةٗ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٖ  * ثُمَّ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلنُّطۡفَةَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡعَلَقَةَ مُضۡغَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمُضۡغَةَ عِظَٰمٗا فَكَسَوۡنَا ٱلۡعِظَٰمَ لَحۡمٗا ثُمَّ أَنشَأۡنَٰهُ خَلۡقًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحۡسَنُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ ﴾ [Al-Mu’minūn: 12-14]
(12) And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.
(13) Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging.
(14) Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.
Surah: Al-Mu’minūn - Verse: 12-13-14 - Juz: 18 - Page: 342
﴿ وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنۡ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٞ تَنتَشِرُونَ  * وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنۡ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنۡ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗا لِّتَسۡكُنُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَكُم مَّوَدَّةٗ وَرَحۡمَةًۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ﴾ [Ar-Rūm: 20-21]
(20) And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then, suddenly you were human beings dispersing [throughout the earth].
(21) And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
Surah: Ar-Rūm - Verse: 20-21 - Juz: 21 - Page: 406
﴿۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعۡفٖ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ضَعۡفٖ قُوَّةٗ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ قُوَّةٖ ضَعۡفٗا وَشَيۡبَةٗۚ يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ ٱلۡقَدِيرُ ﴾ [Ar-Rūm: 54]
(54) Allah is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and white hair. He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Competent.
Surah: Ar-Rūm - Verse: 54  - Juz: 21 - Page: 410
﴿ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَحۡسَنَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقَهُۥۖ وَبَدَأَ خَلۡقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنِ مِن طِينٖ  * ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسۡلَهُۥ مِن سُلَٰلَةٖ مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖ  * ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِهِۦۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ وَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ ﴾ [As-Sajdah: 7-9]
(7) Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay.
(8) Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained.
(9) Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.
Surah: As-Sajdah - Verse: 7-8-9 - Juz: 21 - Page: 415
﴿وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗاۚ وَمَا تَحۡمِلُ مِنۡ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلۡمِهِۦۚ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٖ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنۡ عُمُرِهِۦٓ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٍۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٞ ﴾ [Fāṭir: 11]
(11) And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.
Surah: Fāṭir - Verse: 11  - Juz: 22 - Page: 435
﴿خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ ثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَزۡوَٰجٖۚ يَخۡلُقُكُمۡ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمۡ خَلۡقٗا مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ خَلۡقٖ فِي ظُلُمَٰتٖ ثَلَٰثٖۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصۡرَفُونَ ﴾ [Az-Zumar: 6]
(6) He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?
Surah: Az-Zumar - Verse: 6  - Juz: 23 - Page: 459
﴿هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٖ ثُمَّ يُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلٗا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَشُدَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُواْ شُيُوخٗاۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَلِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَجَلٗا مُّسَمّٗى وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ﴾ [Ghāfir: 67]
(67) It is He who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot; then He brings you out as a child; then [He develops you] that you reach your [time of] maturity, then [further] that you become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], so that you reach a specified term; and perhaps you will use reason.
Surah: Ghāfir - Verse: 67  - Juz: 24 - Page: 475
﴿فَاطِرُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنۡ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗا وَمِنَ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ أَزۡوَٰجٗا يَذۡرَؤُكُمۡ فِيهِۚ لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهِۦ شَيۡءٞۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ ﴾ [Ash-Shūra: 11]
(11) [He is] Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you from yourselves, mates, and among the cattle, mates; He multiplies you thereby. There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
Surah: Ash-Shūra - Verse: 11  - Juz: 25 - Page: 484
﴿ وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰ  * مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ إِذَا تُمۡنَىٰ ﴾ [An-Najm: 45-46]
(45) And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -
(46) From a sperm-drop when it is emitted
Surah: An-Najm - Verse: 45-46 - Juz: 27 - Page: 528
﴿أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡاْ كَيۡفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗا ﴾ [Nūḥ: 15]
(15) Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers
Surah: Nūḥ - Verse: 15  - Juz: 29 - Page: 571
﴿ أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتۡرَكَ سُدًى  * أَلَمۡ يَكُ نُطۡفَةٗ مِّن مَّنِيّٖ يُمۡنَىٰ  * ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ  * فَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓ ﴾ [Al-Qiyāmah: 36-39]
(36) Does man think that he will be left neglected?
(37) Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted?
(38) Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]
(39) And made of him two mates, the male and the female.
Surah: Al-Qiyāmah - Verse: 36-37-38-39 - Juz: 29 - Page: 578
﴿إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ أَمۡشَاجٖ نَّبۡتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ سَمِيعَۢا بَصِيرًا ﴾ [Al-Insān: 2]
(2) Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.
Surah: Al-Insān - Verse: 2  - Juz: 29 - Page: 578
﴿ أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖ  * فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٍ  * إِلَىٰ قَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ  * فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ ﴾ [Al-Mursalāt: 20-23]
(20) Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?
(21) And We placed it in a firm lodging
(22) For a known extent.
(23) And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.
Surah: Al-Mursalāt - Verse: 20-21-22-23 - Juz: 29 - Page: 581
﴿ مِنۡ أَيِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ  * مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ ﴾ [‘Abasa: 18-19]
(18) From what substance did He create him?
(19) From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;
Surah: ‘Abasa - Verse: 18-19 - Juz: 30 - Page: 585
﴿ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ  * فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ ﴾ [Al-Infiṭār: 7-8]
(7) Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?
(8) In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.
Surah: Al-Infiṭār - Verse: 7-8 - Juz: 30 - Page: 587
﴿ فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ  * خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖ  * يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ﴾ [Aṭ-Ṭāriq: 5-7]
(5) So let man observe from what he was created.
(6) He was created from a fluid, ejected,
(7) Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.
Surah: Aṭ-Ṭāriq - Verse: 5-6-7 - Juz: 30 - Page: 591
﴿ لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ فِيٓ أَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِيمٖ  * ثُمَّ رَدَدۡنَٰهُ أَسۡفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ ﴾ [At-Tīn: 4-5]
(4) We have certainly created man in the best of stature;
(5) Then We return him to the lowest of the low,
Surah: At-Tīn - Verse: 4-5 - Juz: 30 - Page: 597
﴿خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ ﴾ [Al-‘Alaq: 2]
(2) Created man from a clinging substance.
