﴿وَقَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَاهُم ۗ مَّا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ﴾
[ الزخرف: 20]

Y dicen: sí el Misericordioso quisiera no los adoraríamos.No tienen conocimiento de esto, sólo hacen conjeturas.

Spanish Translation - Garcia

Dicen: "Si el Misericordioso no hubiera querido, no los adoraríamos [a los ángeles y los ídolos]". Ellos carecen de conocimiento [sobre la voluntad divina], y no hacen sino conjeturar.

20. Y dicen: «Si el Clemente hubiese querido, no los habríamos adorado (a los ángeles)». No tienen ninguna prueba de lo que dicen; no hacen sino mentir.

And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying.
