Surah Al-Buruj — Verse 21

Tafsir (Explanation):

This verse comes as a decisive and powerful response to the disbelievers who claimed that the Qur'an was poetry, sorcery, or the words of a soothsayer. Allah refutes their false accusations with a single, emphative statement: "Nay, it is a Glorious Qur'an."

The word "Bal" (بَلْ) here serves as a rebuttal—turning away their claims entirely and replacing them with the truth. It is not what they say; rather, it is something far greater and more sublime. The Qur'an is "Majeed"—glorious in its wording, its meaning, its guidance, and its very essence.
