Surah Al-Waqi'ah — Verse 94

Explanation of the Verse:

This verse describes the fate of those who rejected the truth and strayed from guidance. After their disgraceful reception with boiling, scalding drink that tears their insides, they are then subjected to the direct burning of the blazing Fire. The word "tasliyah" conveys that they are not merely near the fire or passing by it — rather, they are cast into it, made to directly experience its flames, and forced to remain in its overwhelming heat. This is the ultimate consequence of their denial and misguidance: a painful drink to worsen their thirst, followed by the scorching Fire that envelops them from every side.

A Call to Reflection:

How terrifying is this end, and how merciful is the warning that reaches us before it occurs! Allah, in His infinite compassion, has sent us this Quran so that we may know the reality of our choices before we face them. He does not wish to punish us, but He has made the path clear: whoever turns to Him in sincerity, repents, and strives in obedience will find gardens of delight and a generous reward. But whoever turns away, rejects the truth, and follows their desires will taste this painful outcome. Let this verse awaken your heart today — for the door of repentance is open, and the mercy of Allah is vast. Do not let a single moment pass without turning back to Him, for He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful, and He loves those who return to Him.
