📖 English Meaning
So is one who [stands] upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness from Him follows it, and before it was the Scripture of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in the Qur'an. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination. So be not in doubt about it. Indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.

Explanation of the Verse:

This noble verse draws a powerful contrast between two kinds of people: those who stand upon clear, unshakeable evidence from their Lord, and those who are lost in darkness and denial. Can the one who possesses such luminous certainty ever be compared to the one who rejects the truth? Surely not!

The verse describes the blessed state of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his followers. They are upon a bayyinah — a clear proof and divine insight from their Lord, meaning the revelation and guidance that Allah bestowed upon them. This proof is not left alone; it is followed by a shāhid — a witness from Allah Himself, which is the Qur'an, testifying to the truth of the message. And before all of this, there is yet another testimony: the Book of Moses (peace be upon him), the Torah, which was sent as a guide and a mercy to its people, and which foretold the coming of this final Messenger and confirmed the truth he would bring. Thus, the evidence is overwhelming, layered, and consistent across time — from the Torah to the Qur'an, from the Prophet's own certainty to the witness of divine revelation.

Those who possess this light — the believers — truly embrace the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Qur'an with sincere faith and act upon its commands. As for those who reject him from among the factions that conspired against the truth, their appointed destination is the Fire. It is an inevitable promise from Allah, and no one can escape it.

The verse then turns to the Prophet (peace be upon him) — and by extension, to all believers — with a gentle yet firm reassurance: "Do not be in doubt about it." This is a command to remain steadfast in certainty, for this message is the absolute truth from your Lord. The evidence is so clear, so consistent, and so compelling that doubt has no place in the heart of a sincere seeker. Yet, despite all this clarity, most people do not believe — not because the truth is hidden, but because they fail to reflect, and their hearts are veiled by heedlessness and attachment to this fleeting world.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, pause and reflect on the beauty of this verse. Allah did not leave humanity without guidance; He sent messengers, revealed books, and provided witness after witness to the truth. The Torah testified to the coming of Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Qur'an stands as a living miracle, and the heart of the believer finds peace in the certainty of faith. This is a religion built on evidence, not blind following. So open your heart to this truth, let your mind ponder these signs, and do not let the majority's rejection sway you. For the path of truth has always been walked by the few, but it leads to eternal success. Embrace it, and let the light of certainty illuminate your life — for the Fire is the destiny of those who turn away, and Paradise is the reward of those who believe.

📜 Verse 15-19 — Hud

Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived.
Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do.
And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah? Those will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord." Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.
Who averted [people] from the way of Allah and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they, concerning the Hereafter, were disbelievers.
