Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- Wa innahu (وَإِنَّهُ): And indeed it — referring to the Qur'an.
- La-haqqul-yaqin (لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ): The absolute truth of certainty — meaning a truth so firm and established that it leaves no room for doubt whatsoever.
Explanation of the Verse:
This verse comes as a decisive conclusion to the preceding discourse about the Qur'an and its divine origin. Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) affirms that the Qur'an is not merely a claim or a possibility, but rather it is the ultimate truth — a certainty that is beyond any shadow of doubt. The expression "haqqul-yaqin" combines two powerful words: "haqq" (truth) and "yaqin" (certainty), together conveying the idea of an absolute, unshakeable reality. This is the Qur'an that was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) — a book whose verses are clear, whose guidance is complete, and whose truth is self-evident to anyone who reflects sincerely upon it. It is not a matter of blind faith alone, but a certainty that can be verified through its miraculous nature, its profound wisdom, its perfect preservation, and its transformative impact on humanity throughout the ages.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
Dear reader, ponder upon this magnificent affirmation from your Lord. The Qur'an is not a book of uncertainty or ambiguity — it is the very embodiment of truth, confirmed by Allah Himself. When the Creator of the heavens and the earth declares something to be "haqqul-yaqin," what further proof could anyone seek? This certainty invites you to open your heart to its message, to let its verses illuminate your path, and to find in it the guidance that leads to true success in this life and the Hereafter. The Qur'an addresses your intellect, your emotions, and your soul — it speaks to every generation and every circumstance. Embrace this truth with conviction, and you will discover a peace and clarity that nothing else in this world can provide. Let this certainty be the foundation upon which you build your life, for indeed, there is no greater security than anchoring your existence to the unshakeable truth of Allah's words.
