Key Words and Phrases:

  • Āmanū (آمَنُوا): Those who believed — with sincere faith in Allah, His Messenger, and all that was revealed.
  • ʿAmilū al-Ṣāliḥāt (عَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ): Performed righteous deeds — actions that are sound, sincere, and in accordance with Allah’s commands.
  • Rabbuhum (رَبُّهُمْ): Their Lord — the One who nurtures, sustains, and cares for His servants.
  • Rahmatihi (رَحْمَتِهِ): His Mercy — here referring to Paradise, the ultimate manifestation of Allah’s grace.
  • Al-Fawz al-Mubīn (الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ): The clear, manifest triumph — a success so evident and complete that no doubt remains about its greatness.

Explanation of the Verse:

After describing the fate of those who turn away from Allah’s signs, this verse turns to the blessed end of the believers. Allah says: “As for those who believed and did righteous deeds — their Lord will admit them into His Mercy.”

This means that those who, during their worldly life, embraced faith in Allah and His Messenger, and who followed that faith with action — fulfilling His commands and avoiding His prohibitions — will be granted entry into Paradise by His sheer grace and mercy. It is not merely their deeds that earn them this reward, for no deed is ever sufficient to repay Allah’s bounty; rather, it is His mercy that envelops them and admits them into eternal bliss.

Then Allah declares: “That is the clear triumph.” This is the ultimate victory — the success that surpasses every worldly achievement. No wealth, no power, no pleasure of this life can compare to the joy of being admitted into Allah’s mercy and Paradise. This is the goal that every believer should strive for, and the promise that fills the heart with hope and determination.

A Call to Reflection and Action:

Dear reader, this verse is a beacon of hope. It tells us that the door to Allah’s mercy is wide open for everyone who believes and acts. You do not need to be perfect — you only need to have sincere faith and to strive in doing good, no matter how small. Every righteous deed, every prayer, every act of kindness, every step taken to obey Allah brings you closer to this magnificent triumph.

Let this verse inspire you to renew your faith and to fill your days with good actions. For the reward that awaits is not temporary — it is eternal. It is the success that will never fade, the joy that will never end. So race towards it, and let your heart be at peace knowing that your Lord, the Most Merciful, has promised you this glorious outcome.

📜 Verse 28-32 — Al-Jathiyah

And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.
This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do."
So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is what is the clear attainment.
But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a people of criminals?
And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what is the Hour. We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced.' "
