Explanation of the Verse:
This concluding verse of Surah Al-Jinn reveals a profound truth about Allah’s perfect knowledge and His protection of His messengers. Allah states that He has made known to His chosen messengers—through the guarding angels He sends before and behind them—that the prophets before them also delivered their Lord’s messages in full, with complete honesty and truthfulness. This serves as a reassurance to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that he is following the same path as all previous messengers, and that he too is protected from the interference of the jinn, just as they were.
The verse then affirms that Allah’s knowledge encompasses everything that is with the messengers—their deeds, their words, their intentions, and all the divine laws and revelations entrusted to them. Nothing is hidden from Him, whether apparent or concealed. Finally, Allah declares that He has counted every single thing in existence by number—every atom, every breath, every thought, every movement—and nothing falls outside His comprehensive knowledge.
This verse beautifully ties together the themes of divine protection, prophetic integrity, and Allah’s all-encompassing knowledge. It comforts the believer with the certainty that Allah is fully aware of all that happens, that His messengers were truthful and faithful, and that His knowledge leaves nothing unaccounted for.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
Dear reader, ponder the majesty of this verse! The Creator who counts every star in the heavens, every leaf that falls, every drop of rain, and every heartbeat—this same Allah is fully aware of your struggles, your prayers, and your sincere efforts to draw closer to Him. Just as He protected His messengers and knew their every state, He knows you completely and watches over you with mercy.
When you feel alone or misunderstood, remember that Allah’s knowledge encompasses you entirely. He knows the sincerity in your heart when you pray, the tears you shed in private, and the good deeds you do in secret. He has counted every good deed you have ever done, and He will reward you for it in ways you cannot imagine.
This verse also calls us to trust in the message of the prophets, for they delivered it faithfully without alteration or omission. The Quran we hold today is the same message revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, preserved by Allah’s promise and protected from corruption. Embrace it with confidence, for it is the path to eternal success.
Let this knowledge fill your heart with peace and your soul with hope. For the One who knows all things and counts all things is the One who loves you, guides you, and has prepared for you a reward beyond measure. Turn to Him, rely on Him, and let His infinite knowledge be your comfort in every moment of your life.
