يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّأُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ ۝٤٤

يُقَلِّبُ (Yuqallibu): He alternates, turns around, or changes the state of something—bringing one in place of the other.
اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ (Al-Layla wan-Nahar): The night and the day.
عِبْرَةً (‘Ibrah): A lesson, a profound moral insight, or a source of reflection that leads one from observation to deeper understanding.
لِأُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ (Li-uli al-Absar): For those who possess insight and vision—not just physical sight, but spiritual perception and discernment.

The Interpretation:

Allah, in His infinite wisdom and power, constantly alternates the night and the day—causing one to follow the other in an unbroken, precise sequence. He makes the night grow longer and the day shorter, then reverses it; He brings the darkness after the light, and the light after the darkness, in a rhythm that never falters and never fails. This is not a random or accidental process, but a deliberate act of divine management by the Lord of all worlds.

In this continuous transformation—this majestic turning of time and light—there is a profound lesson for those who truly see. The one whose heart is open and whose mind is attentive recognizes in this alternation the hand of Allah: His absolute power, His perfect wisdom, and His unique oneness. Just as He controls the vast cycles of day and night with flawless precision, so too does He control the affairs of all creation—and so too can He bring life from death, ease from hardship, and light into the darkest of hearts.

So, dear reader, let your eyes not merely glance at the rising sun or the falling night—let your heart reflect. Every sunrise is a renewed promise of hope; every sunset is a reminder of the temporary nature of this world. The One who flips the night into day and the day into night is the same One who hears your prayers, knows your struggles, and is capable of transforming your situation in the blink of an eye. This is the sign of a living God—so open your inner sight, and let this daily miracle draw you closer to Him.

📜 Verse 42-46 — An-Nur

42وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the destination.

43أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُزْجِي سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهُ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَالِهِ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِن جِبَالٍ فِيهَا مِن بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَصْرِفُهُ عَن مَّن يَشَاءُ ۖ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالْأَبْصَارِ

Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightening almost takes away the eyesight.

44يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّأُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ

45وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَابَّةٍ مِّن مَّاءٍ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِي عَلَىٰ بَطْنِهِ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِي عَلَىٰ رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَمْشِي عَلَىٰ أَرْبَعٍ ۚ يَخْلُقُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

46لَّقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا آيَاتٍ مُّبَيِّنَاتٍ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

We have certainly sent down distinct verses. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
