Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- Fa-dkhulī (فَادْخُلِي): Enter or join, addressed to the soul in the feminine form.
- Fī (فِي): Into, among, or within the company of.
- ʿIbādī (عِبَادِي): My servants — referring specifically to Allah’s righteous and devoted servants.
Tafsir (Explanation):
This verse is the concluding call of a divine dialogue with the righteous soul, described in the preceding verses as *al-nafs al-muṭmaʾinnah* — the soul that has found complete tranquility and certainty through faith in Allah, His remembrance, and His promises. After being told to return to her Lord, pleased and well-pleasing, she is now commanded: "Enter into My servants."
This means: join the ranks of My righteous servants — those whom Allah has chosen, purified, and honored. It is an invitation to be counted among the elite of humanity: the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the pious. The soul is not merely told to enter Paradise directly; rather, she is first told to enter the company of Allah’s beloved servants, and then, in the following verse, to enter Paradise. This sequence teaches us a profound truth: the highest honor is not just a place, but a companionship — being with the righteous, in the presence of the Most Merciful.
The phrase "My servants" is possessive, attributing the servants to Allah Himself, which signifies honor, closeness, and special care. It is as if Allah is saying: "You are not just any servant; you are *My* servant, among *My* chosen ones."
Daʿwah Reflection:
Dear reader, this verse is a beacon of hope for every believer. It shows that the ultimate goal of this life is not wealth, status, or fleeting pleasures, but to attain a state of inner peace through faith — a peace that leads to the greatest honor: being called into the company of Allah’s righteous servants. No matter how many sins you have committed, the door of return is always open. The soul that turns back to Allah sincerely, with a heart at peace in His remembrance, will hear this same call on the Day of Judgment. Strive today to be among those who find tranquility in prayer, in the Qur’an, and in obedience — so that you, too, may be invited to enter among His beloved servants. And what a magnificent invitation that will be!
