Explanation of the Verse:
Allah, the Most Merciful, declares in this verse a profound and comforting promise: those who truly believe in Allah and His Messenger, and who follow that faith with righteous deeds — performing them correctly and sincerely for His sake alone — have earned a reward that will never be lost or diminished.
Allah emphasizes that He does not waste the reward of anyone who perfects their work. This means that every act of goodness — whether great or small, seen or unseen — is recorded and will be fully recompensed. The phrase "who perfected their work" highlights that the quality of deeds matters, not just their quantity. A believer strives to do every action with excellence: prayer with humility, charity with sincerity, kindness with gentleness, and honesty in all dealings.
This verse brings immense hope and encouragement. It assures the believer that no effort made in the path of Allah is ever in vain. Even if people do not notice or appreciate your good deeds, Allah sees them all and will reward them fully — without any loss, decrease, or injustice.
A Daʿwah Reflection:
Dear reader, this verse is a beautiful invitation to faith and action. It tells us that the door of Allah's mercy is wide open. All you need is sincere belief and righteous deeds — and Allah Himself guarantees the reward. He does not say, "I might reward them" or "I will reward some of them." He says with absolute certainty: "Indeed, We do not waste the reward of anyone who perfected their work."
This is a promise from the Creator of the heavens and the earth — the One who never breaks His word. So do not despair of your efforts, no matter how small they seem. A smile you share, a kind word you speak, a prayer you offer in the depths of the night, a helping hand you extend — all of it is precious in Allah's sight. He will multiply it and return it to you on the Day when you need it most.
Let this verse inspire you to combine faith with action, and to perfect every deed you do. For the One who created you is the One who will reward you — and His reward is greater than anything this world can offer.
