Word Meanings:

  • Aqeemus-Salah (أَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ): Establish and perform the prayer perfectly, fulfilling all its conditions, pillars, and obligations.
  • Aatuz-Zakah (آتُوا الزَّكَاةَ): Give the obligatory charity (Zakah) to those entitled to it.
  • Ma tuqaddimoo (مَا تُقَدِّمُوا): Whatever good deeds you send forth in advance for your own benefit.
  • Tajidoohu (تَجِدُوهُ): You will find its reward and recompense.
  • Baseer (بَصِيرٌ): All-Seeing, fully aware of every action.

Explanation of the Verse:

O believers, Allah commands you to establish the prayer in its complete and perfect form—fulfilling its conditions, pillars, and recommended acts—and to give the obligatory Zakah to those who deserve it. These two acts of worship are the foundation of a righteous life, connecting you to your Lord and purifying your wealth and soul.

Then Allah draws your attention to a profound truth: whatever good you send forth for yourselves in this life—whether acts of worship, charity, kindness, or any righteous deed—you will find its full reward preserved with Allah on the Day of Judgment. Nothing is ever lost. Every good deed is like a treasure you deposit with the Most Generous, and He will return it to you multiplied beyond your imagination.

The verse concludes with a powerful reminder: Allah is All-Seeing of everything you do. No action, whether great or small, hidden or public, escapes His knowledge. He sees your sincere prayers, your quiet charity, your struggles to do good—and He will reward you accordingly with perfect justice and immense mercy.

A Call to Action:

This verse is a beautiful invitation to invest in your eternal future. Every prayer you establish and every Zakah you give is not merely a duty—it is a golden opportunity to build your account with Allah. Imagine depositing your good deeds with the One who never breaks His promise and whose rewards are beyond measure. When you give for His sake, you are not losing anything; you are truly gaining everything. So hasten to do good, for Allah sees your efforts and will never let them go to waste. Let this certainty fill your heart with peace and motivate you to seize every moment with acts of righteousness.

📜 Verse 108-112 — Al-Baqarah

Or do you intend to ask your Messenger as Moses was asked before? And whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.
Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
And establish prayer and give zakah, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing.
And they say, "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is [merely] their wishful thinking, Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."
Yes [on the contrary], whoever submits his face in Islam to Allah while being a doer of good will have his reward with his Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.
