Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

(Ulaa'ika): Those people (referring to those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers and make distinctions between them).
(Haqqan): Truly, certainly, with absolute certainty — leaving no room for doubt.
(Wa a'tadna): And We have prepared, made ready.
(Adhaban muheenan): A humiliating, disgraceful punishment that brings shame and degradation.

Tafsir (Explanation):

In this verse, Allah — the Most High — delivers a decisive and definitive verdict concerning those who claim to believe in some messengers while rejecting others. Such people are described as "the disbelievers truly" — meaning their disbelief is complete, certain, and beyond any shadow of doubt. This is because the essence of faith (Iman) is to believe in Allah and all His messengers without discrimination. To accept some and reject others is not a partial faith; rather, it is a total rejection of the very message they claim to accept. Whoever rejects even one prophet has, in reality, rejected the One Who sent him — for all prophets came from the same Source with the same core message of Tawheed (monotheism).

The verse then delivers a stern warning: "And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment." This punishment is not merely painful — it is degrading and shameful, a fitting recompense for those who, out of arrogance or stubbornness, refused to submit to the truth. On the Day of Judgment, they will be disgraced before all of creation, their pride shattered, and their false excuses rendered void.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, reflect deeply on the justice and wisdom of this divine statement. Allah does not accept selective belief — He demands complete submission to His Oneness and to all His messengers, from the first to the last, peace be upon them all. The path of Islam is a path of unity, coherence, and total surrender to the will of Allah. It is a path that honors all prophets and all divine revelations, culminating in the final message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Do not let pride or partiality distance you from the complete truth. Embrace the beauty of Islam in its entirety — a religion that calls you to peace, justice, and eternal success. The door of repentance is open, and Allah's mercy is vast. Come to the full light of faith, and you will find a life of tranquility in this world and a reward of honor in the Hereafter. Do not be among those who are humiliated; rather, be among those who are honored by their Lord for their sincere and complete belief.

📜 Verse 149-153 — An-Nisa

If [instead] you show [some] good or conceal it or pardon an offense - indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Competent.
Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers and wish to discriminate between Allah and His messengers and say, "We believe in some and disbelieve in others," and wish to adopt a way in between -
Those are the disbelievers, truly. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment.
But they who believe in Allah and His messengers and do not discriminate between any of them - to those He is going to give their rewards. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.
