Translation — Tafsir

Explanation of the Verse:

O mankind! Allah, in His infinite mercy, addresses all of humanity—not just a specific tribe or generation—to announce that a decisive proof has come to you from your Lord. This proof is Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who was sent with miracles, clear signs, and undeniable evidences that testify to the truth of his message. The greatest of these signs is the Qur'an itself—a living miracle that challenges all of creation to produce anything like it, and which stands as an eternal witness to his prophethood.

Alongside this proof, Allah has sent down to you a manifest light: the Qur'an. This light is not like the light of the sun that fades with the setting of the day, nor like the light of a lamp that can be extinguished by a blowing wind. Rather, it is a light that illuminates the heart, the mind, and the soul. It guides you out of the darkness of ignorance, confusion, and sin into the brightness of knowledge, certainty, and righteousness.

This verse carries a profound and loving call: Allah has not left you without guidance. He has sent you the proof to remove every excuse, and the light to show you every step. Whoever follows this light will never stumble in the darkness of this world, and whoever holds firmly to this proof will have no argument to present on the Day of Judgment.

Dear reader, this is an invitation of love from your Creator. He knows your struggles, your questions, and your search for meaning. And in His mercy, He has placed before you the clearest evidence and the brightest light. Open your heart to this light, and you will find peace that no worldly comfort can provide, and certainty that no doubt can shake. This is the path to true success—in this life and the life to come.

📜 Verse 172-176 — An-Nisa

172لَّن يَسْتَنكِفَ الْمَسِيحُ أَن يَكُونَ عَبْدًا لِّلَّهِ وَلَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَسْتَنكِفْ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَيَسْتَكْبِرْ فَسَيَحْشُرُهُمْ إِلَيْهِ جَمِيعًا

Never would the Messiah disdain to be a servant of Allah, nor would the angels near [to Him]. And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant - He will gather them to Himself all together.

173فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ ۖ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْتَنكَفُوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا

And as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards and grant them extra from His bounty. But as for those who disdained and were arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper.

174يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُم بُرْهَانٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ نُورًا مُّبِينًا

O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.

175فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاعْتَصَمُوا بِهِ فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِي رَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَيْهِ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا

So those who believe in Allah and hold fast to Him - He will admit them to mercy from Himself and bounty and guide them to Himself on a straight path.

176يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ اللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِي الْكَلَالَةِ ۚ إِنِ امْرُؤٌ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ ۚ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَا إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٌ ۚ فَإِن كَانَتَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا الثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ ۚ وَإِن كَانُوا إِخْوَةً رِّجَالًا وَنِسَاءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۗ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ أَن تَضِلُّوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

They request from you a [legal] ruling. Say, "Allah gives you a ruling concerning one having neither descendants nor ascendants [as heirs]." If a man dies, leaving no child but [only] a sister, she will have half of what he left. And he inherits from her if she [dies and] has no child. But if there are two sisters [or more], they will have two-thirds of what he left. If there are both brothers and sisters, the male will have the share of two females. Allah makes clear to you [His law], lest you go astray. And Allah is Knowing of all things.
