Explanation of the Verse:

This verse draws a clear and powerful contrast between two groups of people, showing the ultimate justice and mercy of Allah on the Day of Judgment.

First Group — The Believers Who Do Good Deeds:

Those who truly believe in Allah—with sincere conviction in their hearts, affirmation on their tongues, and righteous actions in their lives—and who perform good deeds in accordance with Allah’s guidance, will receive their full rewards. Allah will pay them their wages completely, without any shortfall or injustice, for He is the Most Just and never lets a single good deed go to waste. But that is not all: He will add to their reward from His sheer grace and bounty—something beyond what they earned. This extra gift is described in the authentic teachings as what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart can even imagine. This is the generosity of the Most Merciful: He rewards His servants for their efforts, and then He blesses them with even more out of His infinite kindness.

Second Group — The Arrogant and the Proud:

As for those who refused to worship Allah out of pride and disdain, who considered themselves too great to bow in humility before their Creator, they will face a painful punishment. Their arrogance will not save them; rather, it will be the very cause of their ruin. On that Day, they will search desperately for anyone to protect them or intercede for them—but they will find none. There will be no guardian to bring them benefit, and no helper to ward off the punishment from them. All false protectors they relied upon in this world—whether wealth, status, or other human beings—will abandon them completely.

This verse is a profound reminder that true success lies in humble submission to Allah, while arrogance and self-importance lead only to loss. It calls us to examine our hearts: do we approach Allah with humility and gratitude, or do we turn away in pride? The doors of Allah’s mercy are wide open for those who believe and do good—and His grace is beyond measure. Let this inspire you to strive in good deeds and to purify your heart from any trace of arrogance, for the reward is far greater than you can ever imagine, and the punishment for pride is far more severe than you can ever bear.

📜 Verse 171-175 — An-Nisa

O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.
Never would the Messiah disdain to be a servant of Allah, nor would the angels near [to Him]. And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant - He will gather them to Himself all together.
And as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards and grant them extra from His bounty. But as for those who disdained and were arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper.
O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.
So those who believe in Allah and hold fast to Him - He will admit them to mercy from Himself and bounty and guide them to Himself on a straight path.
