📖 English Meaning
And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. • حَبَّبَ (ḥabbaba): Made beloved, instilled love.

The Tafsir (Explanation):

O believers, know with certainty that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lives among you, and Allah reveals to him what you cannot see. Therefore, be mindful of your conduct with him, for he is more knowledgeable than you about what is truly good for you. He desires your welfare, while you may sometimes desire things that bring harm to yourselves without realizing it. If he were to follow your opinions and accept your suggestions in many matters—especially those driven by personal whims or short-sighted interests—you would certainly fall into hardship, sin, and ruin. But out of His immense mercy and grace, Allah has made faith beloved to you and adorned it in your hearts, so that you find peace and sweetness in believing in Him. He has also made disbelief, transgression, and disobedience hateful to you, turning your hearts away from them. Those who possess these beautiful qualities—love of faith and hatred of sin—are the truly guided ones, the ones who walk firmly upon the path of truth and righteousness.

This verse is a profound reminder of Allah’s favor upon the believers. Reflect, dear reader, on how Allah Himself cultivated this love for faith within you. It is not by your own effort alone, but by His divine grace that your heart inclines toward truth and turns away from falsehood. This is a treasure beyond measure—so cherish it, nurture it, and thank Allah for it constantly. When you feel the sweetness of faith in your heart, know that it is a gift from your Lord, and let that draw you closer to Him in gratitude and obedience. And when you feel aversion to sin, recognize that this too is a protection from Allah, so guard it by staying away from all that He has forbidden. Indeed, the path of guidance is clear, and those who walk it are the successful ones in this life and the Hereafter.

📜 Verse 5-9 — Al-Hujurat

And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.
And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided.
[It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah. And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
