After mentioning that He created man, Allah (Glorified be He) states that He taught him al-bayān—the faculty of clear expression. This is a distinct honor bestowed upon the human being, setting him apart from all other creatures. Through this gift, man can articulate his thoughts, feelings, needs, and intentions with precision and clarity, whether by spoken words or written script. Some scholars also include in this the teaching of the names of all things, as mentioned in the verse: *"And He taught Adam the names of all things"* (Al-Baqarah: 31), which is the foundation of language and communication.

This divine teaching is not merely the physical ability to produce sounds or write symbols; it is the profound capacity to organize thoughts, form concepts, and share them with others in a structured and meaningful way. Let your tongue be moist with His remembrance, and your pen be a witness for truth, for the One who taught you to speak is the One who hears every word you utter. Thank Him by using this gift in ways that please Him, and you will find that He multiplies His blessings upon you beyond measure.
