The Tafsir (Explanation):
Allah, the Most High, draws the attention of His servants to the magnificent signs scattered throughout the universe—signs that speak clearly of His Oneness, His infinite power, and His sole right to be worshipped. These are not random occurrences; they are deliberate, profound evidences for those who reflect.
Consider the creation of the heavens—raised high without visible pillars, vast and awe-inspiring—and the earth, with its mountains, plains, and seas, spread out as a dwelling place for humanity. Then reflect upon the alternation of night and day: how one brings darkness and rest, the other light and activity; how they follow each other in perfect precision, never overtaking one another, always in balance. This constant change is a sign that the universe is under the control of a Wise and Mighty Creator.
Look also at the ships that sail upon the seas, carrying goods, provisions, and people—heavy vessels floating upon water by Allah’s mercy, transporting what benefits humanity in trade, travel, and sustenance. Who but Allah could make iron and wood float upon the waves? And who but Allah could calm the sea for their passage?
Then ponder the rain that Allah sends down from the sky. He revives with it the earth after its death—the dry, barren land that holds no sign of life suddenly bursts forth with greenery, vegetation, and beauty. From that same water, Allah spreads every kind of creature upon the earth—animals, insects, and beings beyond count—each depending on that water for its existence. This is a vivid reminder of the Resurrection: just as He brings the dead earth to life, so too will He bring the dead out of their graves.
And observe the winds—how Allah directs them from south to north, hot and cold, gentle and fierce—and the clouds suspended between heaven and earth, carried and shaped by His command, pouring down rain upon distant lands. All of this is perfectly orchestrated, without flaw or failure.
Indeed, in all of these signs are clear proofs for people who use their intellect—who do not merely look but truly see, who do not merely hear but truly understand. These signs call out to every rational soul: there is no god but Allah, and He alone deserves your worship, your gratitude, and your devotion.
A Da'wah Reflection:
Dear reader, open your eyes to the world around you. Every sunrise and sunset, every drop of rain, every breeze that touches your face—each one is a letter from your Lord, inviting you to know Him. The universe is not silent; it is speaking the language of divine unity. When you reflect upon these signs, your heart naturally fills with awe and love for the One who created them all. Let this reflection lead you to gratitude, and let gratitude lead you to worship. For He who created all of this for your benefit—will you not turn to Him in submission and love? Indeed, the One who arranged the heavens and the earth has arranged a path for you to reach Him. Walk it with a conscious heart, and you will find peace beyond measure.
