And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.

Key Words and Their Meanings:
Yujādil (يُجَادِلُ): Argues, disputes, or debates with hostility and stubbornness.
Fī Allāh (فِي اللَّهِ): Concerning Allah—His power, His Oneness, or His ability to resurrect the dead.
Bighayri ʿIlm (بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ): Without any true knowledge, proof, or sound basis.
Shayṭān (شَيْطَانٍ): A devil—any rebellious being from among the jinn or humans who incites evil.
Marīd (مَرِيدٍ): Arrogant, obstinate, and deeply entrenched in wickedness; one who has exceeded all bounds in rebellion against Allah.
Explanation of the Verse:
Among mankind there are those who engage in heated arguments about Allah and His power—especially regarding His ability to bring the dead back to life—without possessing any genuine knowledge or evidence to support their claims. They do not argue out of sincere inquiry, but out of arrogance and stubbornness. Instead of seeking the truth, they blindly follow every rebellious devil, whether from among the jinn or from among human leaders of misguidance. These devils are not merely misguided; they are obstinate in their evil, persistently working to lead others astray. Such people abandon the clear signs of Allah and the guidance of His messengers, preferring instead to echo the whispers and falsehoods of those who have rebelled against their Lord.
A Daʿwah Reflection:
This verse serves as a powerful reminder for every seeker of truth: knowledge is the foundation of faith, and ignorance is the gateway to misguidance. When a person argues about Allah without knowledge, they open the door for every devil to influence their heart and mind. The Qur’an repeatedly calls us to reflect, to learn, and to base our beliefs on certainty—not on blind following or empty debate. How beautiful is the path of the believer who seeks knowledge with sincerity, who asks Allah for guidance, and who protects their heart from the whispers of those who wish to pull them away from the light of truth! Let this verse inspire you to be among those who speak with knowledge, act with wisdom, and submit to Allah with a heart full of certainty. For the one who truly knows Allah will never be shaken by the arguments of the ignorant, nor will they ever be deceived by the calls of the rebellious.
On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.
O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.
