Surah An-Nisa — Verse 52

Tafsir (Explanation):

Those who hold this corrupt belief—claiming that Allah is poor while they are rich, and that His bounty is in their hands to give or withhold—are the ones whom Allah has cast out of His mercy. Their corruption has grown deep, and their misguidance has become widespread, for they have exchanged the truth for falsehood and rejected the clear signs that were sent to them.

When Allah curses a person, He abandons them to their own devices, sealing their hearts and leaving them in darkness. And when Allah abandons someone, who can possibly come to their aid? No one in the heavens or the earth can intercede for them, no power can shield them from His justice, and no force can turn away the punishment that awaits them. They are left utterly alone—without protector, without helper, without any means of escape.

This verse carries a profound warning for every soul: the greatest loss is not the loss of wealth or status, but the loss of Allah's mercy. For if the Creator of the heavens and the earth turns away from a servant, then every door of salvation closes before them, and every path of rescue becomes blocked.

Yet, dear reader, this same verse opens a door of hope for the believer. It reminds us that the only true protector is Allah Himself. So hold fast to His rope, seek His pleasure, and never trade His guidance for the fleeting treasures of this world. For whoever Allah honors, none can disgrace, and whoever Allah guides, none can lead astray. And whoever Allah curses, none can ever save—so make your life's mission the pursuit of His love and mercy, before the day comes when no helper can be found.
