Surah Ad-Dukhan — Verse 3

• Anzalnahu (We sent it down): The revelation of the Qur'an from the Preserved Tablet to the lowest heaven, then to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in stages.
• Mubarakah (Blessed): A night filled with abundant goodness, blessings, and divine grace.
• Mundhirin (Warner): Those who warn and caution people against consequences of disbelief and sin.

Tafsir (Explanation):

In this noble verse, Allah (Glorified be He) declares that He sent down the Qur'an on a blessed night — the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), which falls within the blessed month of Ramadan. This night is described as "blessed" because it carries immense goodness, mercy, and divine favors beyond measure. It is the night when the Qur'an — the final and complete guidance for humanity — was revealed, marking the greatest event in history for the salvation of mankind.

Allah then states: "Indeed, We have ever been warning." This means that the purpose of this revelation is to warn humanity — to alert them to the consequences of their actions, to distinguish truth from falsehood, and to call them toward righteousness before the Day of Judgment arrives. Through this Qur'an, Allah sent His final Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him), as a warner to all of creation — a mercy and a guide.

On this blessed night, every matter of wisdom and decree for the coming year is determined and recorded by the angels, as Allah's perfect knowledge and will unfold. Nothing escapes His command, and all affairs — life, death, provision, and destiny — are settled with divine wisdom.

Dear reader, ponder the greatness of this night and the magnificence of this Book! The Qur'an was not sent down randomly or without purpose — it was sent on the most honored night, in the most honored month, to the most honored Prophet, as the most honored revelation. This is Allah's mercy reaching out to you, calling you to success in this life and the next.

If you seek true happiness, open your heart to this Qur'an. Let it guide your steps, illuminate your path, and transform your life. The One who revealed it — He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity worthy of worship except Him alone. He gives life and causes death; He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers.

So worship Him sincerely, turn to Him in repentance, and hold firmly to His Book. For whoever clings to the Qur'an will never be lost, and whoever follows its guidance will never be misguided. This is the promise of the One who never breaks His word — and He is the Most Truthful of all speakers.
