Surah Al-Hujurat — Verse 18

Allah, the Exalted, informs us in this noble verse that He alone possesses full and absolute knowledge of the unseen in the heavens and the earth. Nothing escapes His knowledge—whether it is the secrets of the celestial bodies, the depths of the oceans, the hidden thoughts within hearts, or the most subtle movements in the universe. There is no hidden matter, no concealed secret, and no private thought that is not fully known to Him.

Then Allah emphasizes that He is All-Seeing of all that you do. He observes every action, whether performed openly or in secret, whether spoken in public or whispered in private. Nothing is hidden from His sight—neither the deeds of the day nor the acts of the night. This perfect vision is not merely for observation, but it is coupled with perfect justice and recompense. Allah will reward every good deed with goodness, and every evil deed with its due consequence.

This verse serves as a profound reminder for every believer to live with awareness and consciousness of Allah’s constant presence. And if you have erred, know that His sight is upon you as well—not to punish you hastily, but to give you the opportunity to repent, return to Him, and seek His forgiveness. For He is the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving, and His door of repentance is always open for those who turn back to Him sincerely.

So live your life with this beautiful awareness: you are always in the sight of the All-Seeing Lord, and every moment of your life is an opportunity to earn His pleasure and His eternal reward.
