Surah Qaf — Verse 16

Then Allah adds: "And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein." The jugular vein is the vital artery in the neck that pumps blood directly to the brain and heart — it is the lifeline of a person, so close that no one can be closer to it than the person himself. Yet, Allah's closeness to His servant is even greater than this. This is not a physical closeness, but a closeness of knowledge, power, and control. Allah encompasses every atom of a person's being, and He is fully aware of every heartbeat, every breath, and every inner thought.
