Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • Ayat (آيَاتٌ): Signs, proofs, evidences, and clear indicators that point to the truth.
  • Al-Muqinin (لِلْمُوقِنِينَ): Those who possess certainty (yaqin) — firm, unwavering faith in Allah, free from doubt.

Tafsir (Explanation):

In the earth, Allah has placed countless signs and clear proofs for those who possess certainty of faith. These signs are not hidden or obscure; rather, they are visible and tangible for anyone who reflects. The mountains that stand firm, the seas that stretch across the horizons, the rivers that flow with life-giving water, the trees that bear fruit, the diverse animals, and the countless varieties of plants — all of these are living testimonies to the power, wisdom, and majesty of Allah, the Creator and Fashioner of all things.

For the one who is certain in their heart that Allah is the only true God, worthy of worship alone with no partner, and who believes in His Messenger (peace be upon him), these signs become a source of profound spiritual insight. When such a person walks upon the earth and observes its wonders, they see beyond the surface — they see the Hand of Allah in every detail. The earth itself becomes an open book, and every page speaks of its Creator.

These signs are especially meaningful for the muqinin — those whose hearts are firm in faith, unshaken by doubt. For them, the natural world is not merely a collection of objects but a continuous revelation. Every mountain peak, every ocean wave, every blooming flower, and every creature that moves upon the earth is a verse that recites the glory of Allah. Their certainty transforms their vision: they do not just see creation; they see the Creator behind it.

A Da'wah Reflection:

Dear reader, pause and look around you. The earth you stand upon, the sky above you, the air you breathe — all of it is filled with signs pointing to your Creator. Allah does not ask you to believe blindly; He invites you to reflect, to observe, and to reason. The certainty that fills the hearts of the believers is not a leap into the unknown — it is a natural conclusion drawn from the overwhelming evidence that surrounds us every moment of our lives.

Open your eyes to these signs, and you will find that faith is not a burden but a light. The more you reflect upon the earth and its wonders, the stronger your certainty becomes, and the closer you draw to Allah. This is the path of the muqinin — a path of peace, clarity, and profound connection with the One who created all things. Let the earth be your teacher, and let its signs lead you to the truth that brings tranquility to your soul.

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,
And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.
And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]
And in yourselves. Then will you not see?
And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.
