Tafsir (Explanation):
It is Allah alone — glorified and exalted — who spread out the earth for you, making it vast and wide so that you may dwell upon it and benefit from its resources. He placed within it firm mountains that act as stabilizers, preventing the earth from tilting or shaking with you, and He carved through it rivers of fresh water to quench your thirst, irrigate your crops, and sustain your livestock.
From every kind of fruit, He created two types — sweet and sour, fresh and dry, different in color, taste, and shape — a reflection of His boundless wisdom and creative power. Then He causes the night to wrap itself over the day, covering its light with darkness, and the day to follow the night in a perfect, unbroken cycle.
Indeed, in all of this — the spreading of the earth, the firm mountains, the flowing rivers, the diverse fruits, and the alternation of night and day — there are clear signs and profound proofs for people who reflect and think deeply. These are the people who look beyond the surface, who let their hearts travel through the meanings of creation, and who recognize the hand of their Lord in every leaf, every drop of water, and every shadow that falls.
Reflect, dear reader: every mountain that steadies the ground beneath your feet, every river that quenches your thirst, every fruit that delights your taste — all of this is a message of love and care from your Creator. He did not create all of this in vain. He created it so that you may know Him, worship Him, and live in gratitude for His countless blessings. So let your reflection lead you to faith, and let your faith lead you to action — for the One who spread the earth and adorned it with these signs is the One who deserves your love, your obedience, and your devotion.
