Tafsir (Explanation):
Look around you at the earth beneath your feet. You will find adjacent plots of land, side by side, yet utterly different in nature: one is fertile and brings forth abundant vegetation, another is salty and barren, and yet another yields little. Within this same earth, there are gardens of grapevines, fields of crops, and palm trees—some growing in clusters from a single root, others standing alone. All of them are watered by the same water, from the same rain and the same soil. Yet, despite sharing the same water and earth, their fruits differ in color, size, taste, and quality—some are sweet, some are sour, and some are superior to others in nourishment and flavor.
This is not random; it is the deliberate design of the Creator. He alone causes this diversity from one source, and He alone favors some fruits over others. In this extraordinary variation lies a clear sign for people who use their intellect—those who reflect, ponder, and realize that this cannot be the work of chance. It is the work of Allah, the All-Wise, who has power over all things. He who can make such diversity from a single drop of water is surely capable of resurrecting the dead and rewarding His servants for their deeds.
So, dear reader, let your mind wander through this magnificent creation. Every time you taste a sweet fruit or see a lush garden, remember that this is a message from your Lord. He is calling you to reflect, to believe, and to draw closer to Him. The One who created this perfect system of life and diversity is the same One who sent you the Qur'an as a guide. Do not let these signs pass you by without a moment of thought—for they are doors to faith, opening wide for those who are willing to see.
