Explanation of the Verse:

When the magicians of Pharaoh stood before the great assembly, facing Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him), they addressed him with a remarkable sense of respect and courtesy. They said: "O Musa, the choice is yours — either you throw your staff first, or we will be the first to throw what we have prepared."

This statement reveals their confidence and readiness, yet they still granted Musa the honor of making the first move. They were skilled, experienced magicians, and they had the full backing of Pharaoh's court. But their words also carried an underlying challenge — they wanted to show the crowd that they feared nothing and were prepared to face whatever Musa brought.

Notice the politeness in their speech: they did not rush or act arrogantly at the outset. They gave Musa the option, demonstrating that they were not only masters of their craft but also people of etiquette. 3. The Ultimate Truth Prevails: What followed this moment was one of the greatest miracles in history — Musa's staff turned into a serpent that swallowed all their illusions. This reminds us that no matter how strong falsehood may appear, the truth of Allah will always prevail. The magicians, upon witnessing the miracle, immediately recognized it as divine and fell into prostration, declaring their faith in the Lord of Musa and Harun.
