Translation Transliteration — Al-Fath

وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَإِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَعِيرًا ۝١٣

Key Words and Their Meanings:

"لَمْ يُؤْمِن" (lam yu'min): Does not believe, does not have faith, does not sincerely affirm with the heart and act upon it.
"أَعْتَدْنَا" (a'tadna): We have prepared, made ready, and set in place.
"سَعِيرًا" (sa'iran): A fiercely blazing, raging fire — the intense flames of Hell that are kindled to its utmost heat.

Explanation of the Verse:

This noble verse delivers a clear and decisive message: whoever does not truly believe in Allah — affirming His Oneness, His perfect attributes, and His sole right to be worshipped — and whoever does not believe in His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as the final prophet sent to all of humanity, accepting what he brought and submitting to his guidance, then such a person is a disbeliever. And for the disbelievers, Allah has already prepared a terrible punishment: a blazing, raging fire that will engulf them on the Day of Judgment. This is not a vague threat but a certain promise from the Lord of the Worlds, Who never breaks His word. The fire is described as "sa'ir" — an intensely kindled flame that leaps and crackles, a punishment that is fully deserved by those who reject the truth after it has been made clear to them.

A Call to Reflection and Faith:

Dear reader, ponder this verse with an open heart. The One who created you, who sustains you every moment, and who has showered you with countless blessings — He has not left you without guidance. He sent His Messenger with the final revelation, the Qur'an, as a mercy and a light. The path of faith is not a burden; it is the very key to peace in this life and eternal bliss in the next. How could anyone turn away from such a mercy and choose instead a path that leads to a blazing fire? The choice is yours, and it is the most important choice you will ever make. Embrace faith in Allah and His Messenger today, and you will find a peace that surpasses all understanding, and a reward that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined. Do not delay, for the door of repentance is open, and Allah's mercy is vast — but the time of return is unknown. Seize this moment, and let your heart submit to the truth.

📜 Verse 11-15 — Al-Fath

11سَيَقُولُ لَكَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَا أَمْوَالُنَا وَأَهْلُونَا فَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ۚ يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًا ۚ بَلْ كَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا

Those who remained behind of the bedouins will say to you, "Our properties and our families occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not within their hearts. Say, "Then who could prevent Allah at all if He intended for you harm or intended for you benefit? Rather, ever is Allah, with what you do, Acquainted.

12بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ الرَّسُولُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًا وَزُيِّنَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا بُورًا

But you thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families, ever, and that was made pleasing in your hearts. And you assumed an assumption of evil and became a people ruined."

13وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَإِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَعِيرًا

And whoever has not believed in Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers a Blaze.

14وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

15سَيَقُولُ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا انطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَىٰ مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ ۖ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُبَدِّلُوا كَلَامَ اللَّهِ ۚ قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَٰلِكُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

Those who remained behind will say when you set out toward the war booty to take it, "Let us follow you." They wish to change the words of Allah. Say, "Never will you follow us. Thus did Allah say before." So they will say, "Rather, you envy us." But [in fact] they were not understanding except a little.
