Tafsir (Explanation):
O believers, all the rulings that have been mentioned regarding divorce, the waiting period (‘iddah), and reconciliation are not mere human suggestions or cultural traditions—they are the very command of Allah, the All-Wise, sent down to you so that you may live by them and find peace in your worldly and spiritual affairs. These laws are a mercy from your Lord, designed to protect your families, your honor, and your hearts.
And here comes the most beautiful and encouraging promise: whoever is mindful of Allah—by sincerely obeying His commands, avoiding what He has forbidden, and being conscious of Him in every aspect of life—Allah will wipe away his sins and shortcomings. Just imagine: the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Most Merciful, promises to erase your mistakes and purify your record. This is not because you are perfect, but because His mercy is vast and His generosity knows no bounds.
But that is not all. Along with the forgiveness of sins, Allah will also grant a magnificent reward—one that is immense, multiplied, and everlasting. This reward is not merely for this fleeting world; it is the ultimate success in the Hereafter: entry into Paradise, where pleasures never end and where the soul finds eternal contentment. So let this verse fill your heart with hope and motivate you to draw closer to Allah. Every step of obedience, every moment of patience, every act of avoiding sin—it is all counted, and your Lord does not let a single good deed go to waste.
So hold fast to the commands of Allah, for they are the path to both peace in this life and eternal bliss in the next. And know that the more you fear Allah and strive to please Him, the more He will elevate your rank, purify your soul, and grant you a reward beyond your imagination.
