Explanation of the Verse:
O you who have truly believed in Allah and followed His Messenger! Know that if you remain steadfast in God-consciousness—obeying Allah's commands and avoiding what He has forbidden—He will grant you a *Furqan*: a divine criterion that illuminates your heart and mind, enabling you to clearly distinguish between truth and falsehood, so that they never become confused in your affairs. This discernment is a light from Allah that guides your decisions, protects you from doubt, and opens doors of victory and success in this life and the Hereafter.
Moreover, through this sincere piety, Allah will wipe away your past sins and cover your shortcomings with His mercy, so that you are not held accountable for them. He will forgive you completely, granting you His pardon and overlooking your faults. And Allah is the Owner of immense grace—His favor upon His believing servants is vast and beyond measure. Among the greatest manifestations of His grace is the Paradise He has prepared for the God-conscious, where they will dwell eternally in bliss.
This verse is a profound call to every believer: the path to clarity, forgiveness, and divine favor is not through wealth or status, but through sincere and consistent *taqwa*. When you prioritize Allah's pleasure in every matter, He rewards you with insight that no human intellect alone can achieve, and He cleanses your record of sins, replacing them with His mercy. What greater treasure could a servant hope for than a heart that sees the truth clearly and a soul that is purified and forgiven?
So, dear believer, let this verse inspire you to hold firmly onto *taqwa* in all circumstances—in times of ease and hardship, in private and in public. For Allah's promise is true: whoever fears Him, He will grant them a way out of every difficulty, a light in every darkness, and His magnificent favor that encompasses all good. And Allah is the Most Generous, the Most Merciful—He does not let the efforts of His sincere servants go to waste.
