Surah 'Abasa — Verse 41

Tafsir (Explanation):

On that Day of Judgment, the faces of the wicked—those who rejected Allah’s blessings and denied His signs—will be darkened and covered with a thick, suffocating gloom. This is not merely a physical darkness, but a visible mark of their shame, humiliation, and despair. The blackness that veils their faces reflects the state of their hearts: they lived in arrogance, indulging in transgression and turning away from the truth. Now, in the Hereafter, their own faces bear witness against them, shrouded in a cloud of sorrow and disgrace, as a direct consequence of their deeds in this worldly life.

This verse serves as a profound reminder that no one can escape the justice of Allah. The fleeting pleasures of this world—wealth, status, or pride—will vanish, and what remains is the true reality of our actions.
