Surah Yunus — Verse 101

• Unzurū (انظُرُوا): Look, reflect, and ponder with deep contemplation.

• Nudhur (النُّذُرُ): Warners, i.e., the prophets and messengers who warn their people of Allah’s punishment.

Explanation of the Verse:

O Messenger, say to those who demand extraordinary miracles from you: "Look and reflect upon what exists in the heavens and the earth!" For in the vast universe, there are countless signs that testify to Allah’s oneness, His infinite power, and His perfect wisdom. The sun, the moon, the stars, the alternation of night and day, the mountains, the seas, the diverse creatures, and the intricate systems of life—all of these are living proofs that point to the Creator, the Sustainer, and the Sovereign of all that exists.

Yet, despite all these clear signs, the miracles and the warnings brought by the prophets cannot benefit a people who have firmly resolved not to believe. Their hearts are sealed, their ears are blocked, and their eyes are veiled—not because the truth is hidden, but because they have chosen arrogance and stubbornness over guidance. For such people, no sign, no matter how great, will change their fate, for the problem lies not in the absence of evidence, but in the absence of sincere intention to seek the truth.

Dear reader, open your eyes to the world around you. Every sunrise and sunset, every breath you take, every beat of your heart is a sign from your Lord calling you to Him. The Qur’an invites you to use your intellect and your senses, for faith is not blind—it is built upon reflection and certainty. Do not be like those who saw the greatest miracles yet turned away in pride. Let the universe be your teacher, and let every sign you witness draw you closer to the One who created it all. For Allah does not need our belief, but we are the ones who desperately need His guidance and mercy. Respond to His call today, and you will find peace that no worldly treasure can provide.
