Surah At-Takathur — Verse 7

Allah says: "Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty." This means that on the Day of Judgment, every soul — believer and disbeliever alike — will witness the Hellfire with their very own eyes, not merely through knowledge or hearsay, but through direct, undeniable visual confirmation. This is a sight that penetrates the heart and leaves no trace of uncertainty.

The repetition here serves a profound purpose: it is a terrifying warning that shakes the heedless soul awake. When a person merely hears about something, they may remain doubtful or distant from its reality. But when they see it before their own eyes, the truth becomes absolute and inescapable. Would the hours spent accumulating possessions, chasing prestige, or arguing over trivial matters bring you any comfort? The Quran places this scene before you now — not to frighten you into despair, but to awaken you while there is still time. The door of repentance is open, the path of guidance is clear, and every good deed you do today becomes a light for you on that dark Day. Let this certainty move your heart today, so that when you see that Fire with your own eyes, you will be among those who pass by it safely, by the mercy of Allah, and enter instead into gardens of eternal bliss.
