Explanation of the Verse:
In this profound verse, Allah commands His Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) to construct the ark under His divine watch and protection. The phrase "with Our eyes" signifies that Allah was guarding and overseeing every detail of the work, ensuring that Nuh and the believers were safe from any harm or enemy attack while they built the vessel. This was not merely a physical construction task; it was an act of obedience carried out under the direct care and supervision of the Almighty.
The command "and by Our revelation" indicates that Allah taught Nuh how to build the ark through divine inspiration—this was knowledge that no human could have possessed on their own. It highlights the beautiful relationship between the Creator and His chosen messenger: Allah guides, instructs, and empowers His servants to accomplish what seems impossible.
Then comes a crucial instruction: "And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged." This is a gentle yet firm warning to Nuh not to intercede or plead for the disbelievers among his people—including his own son and wife—who had persisted in their oppression and rejection of the truth. Their fate was already sealed by divine decree: they would be drowned in the flood as a just punishment for their stubborn arrogance and transgression.
This verse carries a timeless lesson for all believers: when Allah's judgment is decreed, no plea can change it. It teaches us to submit fully to Allah's wisdom, even when it involves people we love. It also reassures the believers that Allah is always watching over His righteous servants, protecting them and guiding them through every challenge, just as He protected Nuh and the believers during the construction of the ark.
A Da'wah Reflection:
Dear reader, reflect on this beautiful scene: a prophet of Allah, working tirelessly to build a massive ark on dry land, far from any sea, while people mocked him. Yet he persisted because he knew with certainty that Allah's promise is true. This is the essence of faith—to act upon Allah's command with complete trust, even when the circumstances seem impossible.
Today, as you face challenges in your life, remember that Allah sees you, protects you, and guides you just as He did for Nuh. When you obey Allah's commands—praying, giving charity, being kind to others, and avoiding what He has forbidden—you are building your own "ark" of salvation. And just as the ark carried the believers to safety, your obedience will carry you through the storms of life to success in this world and the Hereafter.
Let this verse inspire you to trust in Allah's plan, to never despair of His help, and to know that His protection is with those who believe and do righteous deeds. The flood of trials may come, but the believer's ship, built with faith and guided by divine revelation, will always sail safely to the shore of Allah's mercy.
