Surah Taha — Verse 30

Tafsir (Explanation):

In this verse, Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) continues his heartfelt supplication to his Lord, asking for a companion and helper in his immense mission. After requesting an expanded chest, ease in his task, and the loosening of his tongue so that people might understand his speech, he now specifically names the one he desires: "Hārūn, my brother."

Musa did not ask for wealth, power, or worldly status. Instead, he asked for his brother — a man of trust, eloquence, and piety — to stand by his side. This teaches us a profound lesson: the best support in any noble cause is a righteous companion who shares the burden, strengthens the heart, and helps in the remembrance of Allah.

Musa knew that Hārūn was not only his kin but also a man chosen by Allah for his wisdom and ability to speak clearly. By requesting him, Musa demonstrated humility — he did not rely solely on his own strength but sought the aid of another believer. This is a beautiful example of teamwork in the path of Allah, where brothers in faith unite to convey the message of truth.

In this verse, we also see the deep bond of brotherhood — a bond that is not merely blood but one rooted in shared purpose and devotion to Allah. Musa’s request was granted, and Hārūn became a prophet alongside him, fulfilling the role of a supporter and co-caller to the truth.
