Surah Al-Furqan — Verse 74

They call out: *"Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our offspring comfort of the eyes."* They do not merely ask for spouses and children — they ask for spouses and children who will be a source of spiritual and emotional peace. They long for partners who are righteous, loving, and supportive of their faith, and for children who are obedient, pious, and upright — children whose very presence brings serenity to the heart and whose character reflects the beauty of Islam. Then they add: *"And make us leaders for the righteous."* They do not ask for worldly power or authority over people, but rather for the honor of being examples of goodness — models whose lives inspire others to draw closer to Allah. They desire to be imams in truth, guiding others through their actions before their words, so that the righteous may look upon them and be encouraged in their own journey of faith.
