Key Words and Their Meanings:

  • Yu'dhuna (يُؤْذُونَ): To harm, hurt, offend, or annoy someone through words or actions.
  • La'anahum (لَعَنَهُم): To curse, meaning to cast someone away from divine mercy and goodness.
  • Muhinan (مُهِينًا): Humiliating, degrading, and disgraceful.

Explanation of the Verse:

This noble verse carries a profound and serious warning from Allah, the Most High, regarding the sanctity of His divine essence and the honor of His beloved Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Allah declares that those who "harm Allah" — meaning those who commit acts of disbelief, polytheism, or any form of disobedience that defies His commands and tarnishes His glory, such as attributing partners or children to Him — and those who "harm His Messenger" through slander, mockery, insults, or any form of verbal or physical offense, are subject to a severe consequence.

For such people, Allah has decreed His curse — meaning they are cast out, distanced, and deprived of His mercy, guidance, and every form of goodness — both in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. In this world, they may face disgrace, humiliation, and divine punishment, and in the life to come, Allah has prepared for them a humiliating and degrading torment in Hellfire, a fitting recompense for their arrogance and transgression against the honor of His Prophet.

This verse establishes an eternal principle: the honor of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is sacred and inviolable. Any offense against him — whether in his lifetime or after his death — is an offense against Allah Himself, and it carries a weighty punishment. It also serves as a reminder that harming Allah's chosen servants, particularly His Prophets and Messengers, is a grave sin that invites divine wrath.

A Call to Reflection and Love:

Dear believer, let this verse awaken in your heart a deep and sincere love for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The Prophet was sent as a mercy to all of humanity — a guide, a teacher, and an intercessor. To love him is to love Allah, and to honor him is to honor the One who sent him.

Let us be among those who defend his honor, follow his noble example, and spread his message with wisdom and kindness. And let us be ever mindful of our words and actions, ensuring that we never fall into anything that would displease Allah or offend His beloved Messenger. For the one who truly loves the Prophet will strive to emulate his character, uphold his Sunnah, and protect his legacy with devotion and sincerity. May Allah make us among his true followers and grant us his companionship in the highest Paradise.

📜 Verse 55-59 — Al-Ahzab

There is no blame upon women concerning their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons or their women or those their right hands possess. And fear Allah. Indeed Allah is ever, over all things, Witness.
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.
Indeed, those who abuse Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment.
And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
