Explanation of the Verse:
On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will raise all of the hypocrites from their graves, leaving none behind, and bring them forth for judgment. In that overwhelming moment, they will swear before Allah Almighty, claiming: "We were believers! We were upon the truth!" — exactly as they used to swear before you, O believers, in the life of this world, saying: "We are Muslims, we are with you." They will persist in this deception, foolishly assuming that their false oaths will benefit them before Allah just as they used to deceive the Muslims in the worldly life. They imagine that their lies will save them from punishment or bring them some good. But how wrong they are! Allah declares their deception utterly futile: "Indeed, they are the absolute liars" — meaning they have reached the ultimate peak of falsehood, for they dare to lie before the One who knows all secrets and hidden thoughts, the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. Their lies are exposed, their schemes are destroyed, and nothing awaits them but the painful punishment they sought so desperately to escape.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
Dear reader, ponder deeply upon this scene! These hypocrites spent their entire lives deceiving people, wearing masks of faith while harboring disbelief in their hearts. They thought they were clever, that their lies would follow them even into the Hereafter. But Allah — glory be to Him — unveils their reality in the most humiliating manner. This verse is a powerful reminder that Allah is not deceived by appearances, nor is He impressed by empty words. He looks at what is in your heart and how you live your life.
How beautiful it is to be honest and sincere with Allah! A believer who is truthful in word and deed enjoys peace in this world and tranquility in the Hereafter. You do not need to pretend or wear masks before Allah — He knows you better than you know yourself. So submit to Him sincerely, embrace the truth of Islam with an open heart, and let your words and actions be a true reflection of your faith. For on that Day, only the truthful will be saved, and only sincerity will be rewarded. Do not be like those who deceive themselves, for their end is loss. Be among those who say: "We believe in Allah," and live it with every breath.
