Explanation of the Verse:
Allah, the Most High, begins this verse with a glad tiding for His righteous servants: *"Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup whose mixture is camphor."* These are the believers who were sincere in their faith, steadfast in their obedience, and mindful of Allah’s commands throughout their worldly lives. On the Day of Resurrection, they will be honored with a drink from a cup filled with the pure wine of Paradise—a wine unlike any in this world, for it is blended with the water of a heavenly spring called *Kāfūr*. This spring is renowned for its delightful fragrance and refreshing coolness, and its addition makes the drink utterly perfect—pleasing to the senses, free from any harm or intoxication, and a source of pure joy.
The mention of camphor, known in this world for its pleasant aroma, serves as a gentle reminder that what awaits the righteous in the Hereafter far surpasses any earthly pleasure. It is a reward for their patience, their charity, and their devotion—a taste of the eternal bliss that Allah has prepared for those who love Him and strive in His path.
